How to download Ciena Certification books via Adobe Digital EditionGaurd

Important News for existing users: Adobe eBook Platform support has transitioned to ByteBooks. When Adobe Digital Editions asks you to authorize or sign in, use a ByteBooks ID instead of an Adobe ID.

Please follow this process to install Adobe Digital Editions application and download your e-book on the machine.

1. Refer to the email received from Ciena Learning <learning@ciena.com> on the subject “E-Book Links for Training”.
2. Clicking the link “Click here” and it will take you select the preferred platform on your machine. Alternatively, you can click to the link - https://www.adobe.com/solutions/ebook/digital-editions/download.html
3. Install Adobe Digital Editions tool by double-clicking the installer.exe file and following the prompts.

How to create Adobe ID account:

Step 1: Open the transition page on Adobe’s Website

1. Click on ‘Create Adobe ID’ on Authorization page of Adobe Digital Edition (ADE) will open the “Transition of Adobe eBook platform to WCS – FAQ” page
2. Go through the page to get more information if you want.
3. Click on the "Proceed to ByteBooks ID Creation" button at the bottom.
4. This will open the ByteBooks website page to create your ByteBooks account.
5. Click on the "Create Your ByteBooks Account" button.

Step 2: Set up your ByteBooks account

• Enter the required details on the page (i.e. First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Country, Password to create the account.)
• The “I have an existing Adobe ebooks to migrate” will be unchecked and disabled by default. (Note: if you are a new user do not check the box (I have an existing Adobe account to migrate.) This check box is applicable to users those have an existing Adobe account.)
• Clink on ‘Create Account & Verify’
• You’ll receive an OTP (One time password) on the email address you have entered

Step 3: Verify your Email

• You’ll receive an email with an OTP (One time password) from noreply@dtsbytebooks.com
• Enter this OTP in the “Enter the OTP sent to mail” field and click on the Verify Email ID button

Step 4: Sign back into Adobe digital editions

• Open Adobe Digital Editions
• When asked for your Adobe ID and Password:
  1. Enter your ByteBooks ID and ByteBooks Password that you just created
  2. Click on the Authorize button
• This will take you to the main page of application

Note: Please do not check the ‘I want to authorize my computer without an ID’ button. This remains unchecked.

Note: If  you download a book before authorizing Adobe Digital Editions, it will be linked to an "anonymous" account and only exist in the machine library. When you try to open the book again, it will create an error.

You can access the E-book at any time for the next 3 years by following the steps below.

1. Log in to Adobe Digital Editions.
2. Go to Bookshelves, and All Items.
3. Double click the icon for the book.
4. The book opens.
